We work with nonprofits, veterans' organizations, reentry providers, shelters, schools, camps, and community institutions. Every engagement can be customized to the audience and facility.
HALFWAY: A Story of Second Chances
Author presentation and audience discussion centered on incarceration, reentry, accountability, identity and rebuilding. 60–90 minutes. Illustrative introductory quote: $350–$650.
Blueprints in Verse: Finding Your Voice
A four-session poetry and creative writing course adaptable for youth and adult groups. Participants explore free verse and identity, metaphor and imagery, writing through change, and optional reading and revision. Sessions are 60–90 minutes each. Illustrative pilot quote: $600–$900 for four sessions.
About the Facilitator
Shawn Von Briesen is a Connecticut author, visual artist and founder of Artists & Architects LLC. His forthcoming memoir HALFWAY explores incarceration, reentry, family and rebuilding a life. Programs blend original creative practice, structured activities and lived-experience storytelling.
Book a Program
1. Tell us your organization, dates, group size and goals.
2. Receive a custom written quote, curriculum outline and materials plan.
3. Confirm with a contract and, when appropriate, a deposit. Public agencies may use purchase orders and approved invoicing.
4. Experience the program and discuss a recurring series.

Pay your confirmed booking deposit
Once your date, program and total quote are confirmed in writing, pay your $150 deposit securely through Shopify. This amount is credited toward your agreed program fee. Do not pay until your booking is approved. A payment alone does not reserve a date. Cancellation and refund terms are provided in your written booking agreement.
